Proposed project to train shelter workers

Camila Candioti, a psychoanalyst who has worked for years in the state system for street children, plans to create a program to better train line staff in shelters. Traditionally, staff suffer from a charitable or penal mentality, with little understanding of children’s rights or their capabilites as subjects and actors. However, this staff has more impact on the kids’ lives than anyone else.

Shine a light and Acción Educativa are advising Ms. Candioti with her project.
