Volunteering with the República de Emaus

In order to read an essay on the history and services of The República de Emaus, click here. The program has asked Shine a light to find volunteers with the following characteristics:

Skills: Art teachers, psychologists, social workers, teachers, marketing specialists, business administrators, fundraisers, and lawyers.

Length of Service: At least one year

Language: Enough Portuguese to be understood.

Age and Education: All volunteers must be more than 18 years old and should have at least a high school education

Personal characteristics: A commitment to social justice for poor children, an understaning of the root causes of poverty, and ability to work as part of a team.
