Refugio Heidi-Pedro

After extensive research with many of the best shelters around Latin America, two Swiss development workers, Werner Surber and Doris Bitterli, opened the Refugio Heidi-Pedro in Guadalajara in January of 2003. Shine a light has been very impressed with the model that the Refugio uses, but our staff has not yet visited the program, so we suggest that you consult the Refugio's web page directly.
