Together with you on the street

Even though Machala is a small city with an immense income from the local banana plantations, it has the highest rates of youth homelessness in Ecuador. Together with you is a collaborative initiative between Sol Naciente, the Corporación Social Análisis y Proyectos, and the Consejo Cantonal de Machala to address this problem in its symptoms and at its roots.

Together with you on the street plans to address the problem of youth homelessness through sport. Sports will be more than just a technique of street education; it will serve as the tool by which educators reunite street children with their families. When completed, Together with you will have football fields and volleyball courts, where children can play with and against their parents. There will also be table games like chess. The plan is always to create a real connection between parents and children, so that kids have an option beyond the street.
