Volunteering with Lar da Irmã Celeste

Though Shine a light has not yet met formally with the Lar, and thus the program is not a member of the Shine a light Network, it has asked Shine a light to look for volunteers. The program works with children in one of the poorest favelas of São Paulo.

Skills: Music teachers, martial arts instructors, dancers, actors, psychologists, and business administration.

Length of Service: One year

Language: Ability to communicate in Portuguese, but fluency is not necessary.

Age and Education: 20 years old.

Personal characteristics: "Commitment to the cause."
