Volunteering with Asociación Muchachos de la Calle

Skills: Social workers, sports coaches, ecological educators, cooks and nutricionists, artists.

Length of Service: Case by case.

Language: Any level.

Age and Education: Emotional maturity is more important than age.

Personal characteristics: The volunteer must understand that this work is not about pity. Volunteers must be mature and responsible, and they must not see the work as a mere "adventure." Other important character traits: honesty, strong ethics, a "clearly defined sexual identity," and no outstanding personal problems. No smoking or drinking on site.
