Skills: Doctors, dentists, psychologists, special educators, social workers, occupational therapists, sociologists, coaches, and artists.
Length of Service: One to three months.
Language: Enough to communicate with youth on the street.
Age and Education: 20 to 50 years old. It would be best if volunteers have worked with street children, and all must understand the complex nature of Colombian society.
Personal characteristics: Niños de los Andes asks that all college students who wish to do a practicum write at least 6 months in advance. Volunteers must understand that Bogotá is not a safe place, and that no one can guarantee their safety on the street.
