Research collaboration

Because research into the lives and experiences of street children crosses both disciplinary and national boundaries, academics and intellectuals are often unable to learn from the work of their peers or contribute to the broader discourse on youth homelessness. Even in Brasil, where a strong academic networks exist, studies from CIESPI show that doctoral and masters’ dissertations are often redundant.

In order to promote the exchange of ideas and hyptheses, we include here a list of researchers known by Shine a light and the organizations it assists. If you would like to include your name on this list so that people can contact you, please write us at
info@shinealight.org. Please include your name, address, and a brief description of your field of research.

On this page, SAL has categorized researchers by their major field of study. By clicking the names in Blue, you can read a brief description of their academic interests. If the names are still in black type, we do not have sufficient information to describe their research.
