Volunteering with Rabo de Arraia

Though Shine a light has not yet met formally with the Rabo de Arraia, it has asked Shine a light to look for volunteers. The program integrates uses capoeira and breakdance to help children living and working several poor favelas of Fortaleza, Brasil.

Skills: Almost anything is helpful

Length of Service: Three months

Language: Some Portuguese

Age and Education: No requirement

Personal characteristics: "We are looking for volunteers who would like to spend time in Fortaleza working with streetchildren through creative arts.
We have possibilities for trainees of social, -cultural and artistic-studies and trainees/voluteers in NGO’s.
We also would like to work with tourists that want to spend a part of their holiday working with streetchildren."
