Volunteering with Shama

In order to read an essay on the history and services of Shama, click here. The program has asked Shine a light to find volunteers with the following characteristics:

Skills: Sociologists and researchers, social workers, artists, farmers (esp tree farmers), bakers.

Length of Service: Three months.

Language: Must be good, but not necessarily fluent.

Age and Education: Must be at least 18 years old.

Personal characteristics: Ability to adapt to a context of poverty. Good health. Emotional maturity. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team. Strong morals. This is an evangelical program, and volunteers should be prepared for that.
